1. You’ll save money

By arranging extraction cleaning regularly, you’ll ensure that grease deposits don’t build up. This is noticeable on the ducting, but is of particular importance to the fan units and grease filters.

If the fan units become layered with grease, the motor will require more electricity to operate. Eventually, a new fan may be required if it is left too long. We recommend that the ducting is cleaned and filters are replaced on schedule to maximise the fan lifetime.

2. It stops the ductwork catching fire

Its pretty obvious that if your kitchen catches fire, then all productivity goes up in smoke! Don’t be another commercial kitchen fire statistic, ensure that your extraction cleaning is taken out on schedule. Without it, you run the risk of your insurance becoming voided.

3. It gives your staff confidence

By cleaning your extraction system, your staff will recognise that you’re prepared to ensure both their safety, and that of the business. Maintained extraction systems remove vapourised grease, smoke and carbon monoxide from the air, making it a safe place to cook.

4. You won’t have to worry about it

Let’s face it, none of us like to worry about things, let alone dirty ducting. Getting your kitchen extraction system cleaned on a regular basis significantly reduces fire risk. If grease is allowed to build up on the inside of the ducting, it acts as a fuse, spreading fire along the inside.

If you don’t want to lose any sleep, then get in touch with us now.

5. You’ll stay on the right side of the law

The Regulatory (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that if ducting systems are not maintained, and a death occurs as a result, you could face charges. Typically, these are corporate liability or manslaughter.

The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 also states: “Employers and Persons concerned with premises owe the common duty of care both to employees and others who may use or visit the premises”

So be sure to keep your kitchen buzzing with productivity by keeping those extraction and fan systems clean!
