Terms and Conditions
Standard Terms and Conditions
Any work booked in for site attendance which is cancelled by the customer less than 2 working days prior to said attendance will be subject to a cancellation charge of the full invoice amount.
Any circumstance not of our making, that involves a crew attending site to carry out pre booked work but being prevented from doing so by others will incur an abortive visit charge of the full invoice or equivalent.
This will include but not be exclusive to any security clearance granted, acceptance of Method Statement/risk assessment, or any special procedures agreed to in advance but altered at time of visit.
You agree to ensure that we have access to all of the areas to be cleaned within our quotation and also agree that if we are unable to access any such areas on the agreed cleaning date and it is not cleaned our charges will remain fully payable. All working areas must be closed off by the customer/client and no liability will be accepted by us.
The premises/site will remove any stock or items before we arrive, failing which we will not move or remove such items and will only clean around.
Builder’s work or remedial works maybe required by the customer/client or independent contractor to make the extract system fully accessible due to such obstructions i.e. access, pipes, cables or other restrictions.
We do not accept liability for any ductwork leaking or poorly fitted systems that impede work nor any leaking joints mez frames, flanges and connection seals.
We do not arrange scaffolding and this will be required by the customer to have in place before our arrival if so required.
On installation of the extraction fan it should be designed with access panels for cleaning, please refer to the ventilation and heating contractor’s guidelines. Access to the extraction fan is via access panels if the design of the system does not allow panels to be fitted then the fan may not be cleaned. If dirt or grease has accumulated around dangerous or poorly fitted electrical wiring such areas will not be cleaned on health and safety grounds but our charges will remain fully payable. Owing to the potential inaccessibility of fan motors on completion of cleaning we do not accept liability for the failure of systems owing to the build-up of grease.
You accept that you need to inspect the work after it is carried out to check that everything is to your satisfaction. In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the work, we must have an opportunity to inspect the item(s) that you have concerns about and thus you agree that: (a) any complaint must be put in writing within 7 days of the work being carried out; (b) you will allow us access to inspect and correct the work or damage complained about with you (and, for the avoidance of doubt, this includes any damaged or perished stock, etc) within 7 days; and (c) you will do nothing in the interim to limit our ability to so inspect (eg you will not carry out any cleaning yourselves or discard any stock alleged to have been damaged). If you do not make a complaint in writing as above you agree that you will not subsequently raise any issues regarding the quality of the work carried out, and you agree that our charges are due and payable.
You agree our quoted price on the basis of these terms and agree to pay our invoice for the work carried out.
